Not all Roku models will support the AirPlay function. (The next section addresses screen mirroring via Airplay.) Once selected, content from your device will be streamed to your chosen device. This will bring up a list of available devices where you can select your Apple TV or AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV. Then, on the device you want to stream from (e.g., an iPhone or iPad), open the Control Center and tap the AirPlay icon. To enable AirPlay, start by making sure that your device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV or AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV. If your Mac and othr Apple devices support AirPlay to Mac, you can also listen to audio and play video from another device on your Mac. You can now stream video and audio from your Mac to your chosen device. Then click Control Center in the menu bar, click Screen Mirroring, and select your Apple TV or smart TV from the list of available devices.
To use AirPlay on your Mac, first make sure that you have an Apple TV or a compatible smart TV connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac. You should then be able to enable AirPlay Mirroring in the menu bar and make it easier to find by adding it to the menu bar in the top right corner of the screen. To resolve this issue, go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall > Firewall Options and check the box next to Automatically alow signed software to receive incoming connections. If you can&rsquor t see the AirPlay icon on your Mac, it may be because your firewall settings are preventing the AirPlay feature from working. You might need to contact your network administrator for more help in resolving thse issues. If not, then it could be the result of a blocked port, firewall settings, or a network issue that is preventing successful AirPlay.
